God meeting our needs

From the beginning of August, Pravani and I have been working on growing our team of ministry partners. We do this by making phone calls, scheduling appointments and challenging people to join our team. These ministry partners provide the support structure we need to do the work God has given us.

One of the challenges we have is that we are not actively on the “ministry field” during this time and we really miss the opportunity of build into others.

Fortunately, God knows our needs and provides at the right time. One Sunday evening we had 2 young men from our church spending time with us. They spent 3 hours with us, just asking questions and wanting to grow. I usually feel drained after such a long conversation, but I was encouraged and reminded that I enjoy mentorship/discipleship. I also noticed that I don’t need to be on the “field” to have this impact.

One a Thursday evening we had a young couple over for dinner and once again getting into deep faith conversations. That made me excited and grateful that we have opportunities like this. Challenging others and getting challenged is the best way to grow. This is my opinion. It helps me think.

The appointments we had were also very encouraging. Hearing how people came to know Christ, what God is doing in their lives, and how they are trusting God. With each appointment, money is never the goal – people are the goal. We want to hear what God is doing in the lives of others, share what He is doing in ours and form friendships and partnerships that give glory to God.

In this season of building partnership with fellow believers, we sometimes feel that we miss out on what God is doing out on the field, but we don’t notice what He is doing within us. God is revealing Himself to us with every appointment, scripture and even through our son’s smiles and giggles. Pray for us as we seek him, wrestle with Him and even sometimes disappoint Him.

Please pray for us:

  • Pray that we will continue to seek God’s face in good and bad times.
  • Pray that we will reach 100% of our goal, so we can get back to the field.
  • Pray that God will use every appointment to encourage His children.
  • Pray that God will protect us as a family from all temptation.
  • Please let us know how we can be praying for you. We want to pray for you.

Have a blessed day,

Nicholas
