Sorry for not writing in a while. I realize looking back that if you don’t make time, life just happens and you wonder what just happened. The last post I did, I was talking about American Students reaching out in Cape Town. I only shared half the things they did. Now I want to share the other half.
They reached out onto 2 Universities in 2 weeks, namely Stellenbosch University and University of Cape Town. On Stellenbosch they where finding their feet, learning to shared with students that grew up mostly in christian based homes. So the students know of the bible and a few stories and might go to church. But the big question is, do they know Jesus?
On University of Cape Town, it was a different ball game. There is so many different opinions, religions and things I can’t put to words, and the American students felt it. The strategy had to change and they had to adapt. And they did.
I praise God that on the 2 Universities we shared gospel 59 times and 8 of those students gave their heart to Christ and 8 more rededicated their life for Christ. So we are busy following up those students and teaching them the basics of the Christian faith. God is just amazing.
One thing I did see is that sharing the gospel is draining. It doesn’t matter how experienced or how much knowledge you have, if you don’t find your rest in our Lord, Jesus Christ, you will burn out.
Please pray for us.
Pray that God will be our center and that we will be focused by Him. Pray that God will protect my marriage. That is no small request. And pray that God will bless the ministry on the different Universities that we as a team are focusing on in the Western Cape, South Africa.
Pray that the American students that reached out here for 5 weeks will grow in their faith and ability to talk about Jesus.
Thank you for your prayer. Please comment by saying that you have prayed, or word that God has given to you.
In the love of God,
